Privacy

The short version: LayerCut works on your computer, your models never leave it, and we don't track you.

The app

• Your models and files stay on your computer. LayerCut never uploads models, settings or exported files.
• Update checks. When LayerCut starts, it fetches a small file from downloads.layercut.app to see if there's a newer version. Like any web request, this sends your IP address and the app's version to our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We don't link it to you or store it beyond Cloudflare's standard logs.
• License keys are checked on your computer, with no activation server.
• No analytics or telemetry. The app doesn't collect usage data or crash reports.

This website

• No cookies and no advertising trackers.
• The site is hosted by Cloudflare. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
• Your theme choice is saved in your own browser's local storage, and never sent to us.

Purchases

Pro licenses are sold through Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country and order details so we can send and look up your license key. We never see your full card details.

We keep this information for as long as your license exists, so we can re-send your key. We send you email only about your license and, if you opt in, about new versions.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@layercut.app. If we delete your purchase record, we can no longer re-send your license key.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the bottom of this page.
