License keys

License keys start with LayerCut 1.0. During the beta, every feature is unlocked without one.

Where to find your key

After you buy Pro, your license key is:

• shown on screen right after checkout, with a button to copy it or save it as a file
• emailed to the address you bought with, from licenses@layercut.app, with the license file attached

Entering your key

1. Open LayerCut.
2. Choose LayerCut → License… on a Mac, or Help → License… on Windows.
3. Paste the key, or click Load license file… and choose the attached file. You can also drag the license file onto the LayerCut window.

Pro features unlock straight away. About LayerCut shows who the license belongs to and when its updates end.

A new computer

Enter the same key on the new computer. There's nothing to deactivate on the old one, since a license is for one person on any computers they use.

Lost your key?

Email hello@layercut.app from the address you bought with, or include your Paddle order number, and we'll send it again.

Renewing updates

Your license includes updates for 12 months. When they end, LayerCut tells you when a newer version is available. Renewing costs $25 and adds 12 months from the day your current updates end, or from today if they've already ended. You'll get a new key by email.
